STRAWBERRY ABUNDANCE in HISTORIC CEDARBURG!
25th ANNUAL STRAWBERRY FESTIVAL
SATURDAY & SUNDAY, JUNE 26 & 27, 2010
Come visit Cedar Creek Settlement during Historic Cedarburg’s 25th
Annual Strawberry Festival, Saturday, June 26 from 10-6 and Sunday, June
27 from 8-5.
Cedar Creek Winery’s delightful Strawberry Blush Wine is the signature
summer wine that smells and tastes like freshly picked strawberries. Visit
Cedar Creek Winery for wine by the glass. Strawberry aficionados will
find an abundance of Strawberry delectables such as Strawberry Slush,
Strawberry Crepes, Strawberry Shortcake and fresh berries by the quart
provided by Schmit’s Farm Produce. The Settlement’s Courtyard
Grill features brats, burgers, hot dogs, BBQ Beef and more. Anvil Pub
& Grille and Cream & Crepe will offer delectable foods and desserts.
Larry’s Market will have a booth selling local cheeses to pair with
Cedar Creek Wines.
Saturday morning from 10:00-11:00 a.m., Patty Ehlers Peterson from Larry’s
Market will take the main stage for a cooking segment demo and tasting
featuring, what else, strawberries and Cedar Creek Wines. Come enjoy this
casual class.
There will be lively music on stage both days, featuring the Top-Forty
sounds of Hat Trick from 12:00-4:00 on Saturday followed by New Revue
from 4:00-6:00. The fantastic sounds of Bobby Way & Wayout’s
show band on Sunday, 12:00-4:00 will make fans jump up and dance.
Prefer a whipped cream smile? Cedar Creek Settlement hosts free contests
like the Strawberry Shortcake Eating Contest and the Strawberry Bubblegum
Blowing Contest…Saturday and Sunday. Sign ups at 12:00 daily. On
Saturday, 12-5 have your picture taken with Cheese Power the costumed
character from Vern’s Cheese.
The Merchants of Cedar Creek Settlement also host the famous Sunday Morning
Strawberry Pancake Breakfast, 8:00-11:00 a.m., drawing hundreds of families
outdoors for an all-you-can-eat summertime treat. The price is right:
$6.00 for Adults, $4.00 for Children and Kids under 3 are free. Live Music
by the City Block Band.
Shoppers will enjoy strolling through the Settlement’s Strawberry
Festival Arts Fair, a free indoor-outdoor boutique featuring the work
of more than eighty of the Midwest’s most talented artists and folk
artists at the Cedarburg Community Center and along Washington Avenue
as part of the festivals Arts on the Avenue. Cedar Creek Settlement Merchants
will have enticing booths outdoors at their Merchants Marketplace, featuring
Amish Craftsmen Guild II, A Little Pizzazz, Brother John’s Art World,
Cedar Creek Pottery, Cedar Creek Antiques, La Diva, Newberry Thicket and
Eyelash Art.
Come and celebrate our Strawberry Extravaganza at Cedar Creek Settlement
at the corner of Washington and Bridge in Historic Cedarburg, just 20
