  • Unfortunately, due to the age of the building, the main Cedar Creek Settlement building itself is not wheelchair accessible. The construction of the building took place at a time when accessibility standards were not as prevalent as they are today.

The nature of the building's design and structure presents significant challenges when it comes to retrofitting it with modern accessibility features. Retrofitting an old building to meet accessibility standards often involves substantial modifications to the structure, which can compromise its historical integrity and cultural significance.

However, it's worth noting that efforts have been made to ensure wheelchair accessibility in other areas of the Cedar Creek Settlement. The Anvil and Cedar Creek Winery, which are part of the complex, have taken steps to provide wheelchair accessibility. These areas have been designed or modified to accommodate individuals with mobility challenges, allowing them to enjoy the winery and its offerings.

While the main building may not be accessible, the Cedar Creek Settlement as a whole aims to provide an inclusive experience for visitors. The winery and other accessible areas can still be enjoyed by wheelchair users, allowing them to explore and appreciate the unique aspects of the complex's history and culture.
